Soybean growers will have to wait until 2028 for a new management option to reach the market, but that does not mean the 2027 season has to be a gap year. BASF is preparing to launch Nemisphere for commercial use in 2028, giving farmers a future tool for soybean production. Until then, the company says growers can lean on resources that already exist to make better decisions in their fields.
Mike McCarville with BASF said the time before launch is not idle time. Growers can use current tools and information to learn more about where problems are showing up and how those issues affect yield. That approach lets them build a clearer picture of field history, pressure points, and management gaps before the new product is available.
The message is straightforward. Waiting for a future technology does not have to mean standing still. By using what is already on hand, farmers can gather data, test strategies, and prepare for the day Nemisphere arrives. When the 2028 launch comes, those who spent the prior season paying attention to their fields may be in a stronger position to put the new option to work.
